This Sunday (7th December) is a family/parade service in the morning with worship band and Clare Jennings preaching and exploring what Christmas means to us (bring something to demonstrate this).
Later in the day 2-4pm the lower room of the Chapel will be open as part of the towns Christmas festivities which include continental market, santas grotto and the turning on of the christmas lights by one of the towns school children.
At the chapel we will be serving hot drinks and mince pies. Part of the room will be decorated as a nativity scene with life size Mary and Joseph next to a quiet prayer corner for those wanting to escape the hustle and bustle. There will also be craft activities for the “younger” members of the community with the opportunity to make a lantern that can be lit on the square later in the afternoon when there will be the town carol service with the Temperance Band.
