A lovely service (John Hardy preaching and Pam worship leading) was followed by our monthly lunch. It is always nice to have to put extra tables out in order to feed everyone and with no left overs from the roast beef and only 1/2 a bread and butter pudding left I assume that everyone enjoyed their lunch. It was then a quick change for some of our younger members and pull on extra layers for the rest of us in order to join the march through Raunds to the war memorial. A shame the rain couldn’t hold off for an extra 15mins so that we could have finished in the dry. Never mind though it was very well attended, especially by the young people of the uniformed organisations in the town.
Next lunch is December 14th and is ticket only as it is always popular - full Christmas lunch followed by a Christmas Carol songs of praise with tea/coffee and mince pies.
