Sunday lunch and songs of praise

This sunday sees our monthly fellowship of lunch and because obviously the worship band aren’t content with just playing at the service we are also having a songs of praise time after the lunch.

Lunch will be roast Gammon with strudel for pudding (or jelly for those who don’t like strudel).

The songs/hymns for the songs of praise have all been chosen by people who attended last months lunch and provide a wide variety of styles.

A good time should be had by all even if it is only to see how certain members of the church cope with playing/singing followed by working in the kitchen followed by eating and then having to play/sing a further 16 songs if we manage to fit them all into the time available!

And a good time was had by all.

Most of the hymns chosen had real significance for those who had chosen them and we heard some wonderful testimonies as people shared why particular hymns were important to them, more than one of them in tears as they did so. Deeply moving and clearly popular.

So we are going to be singing Christmas carols after the Christmas Lunch on December 14th.
