Actually “busy” could apply to most Saturdays in Raunds Methodist Church, today though was particularly so.
The Brownies were busy from an early hour preparing for their Barn Dance tonight.
In the morning, after hosting the Circuit Prayer Meeting we had our monthly working party. These have been running pretty consistantly for 3 years and have made significant improvements over the years. Today was spent mostly gardening along “the Avenue” (the path up the side of the chapel), litter picking and cleaning inside.
The next working party is going to be spent vestry cleaning and building a new secure cupboard for the new PC (well quite old, but new to the chapel) and projector (please note they are not being kept on the premises until we can lock them up securely - so don’t bother breaking in).
After the working party a very special girl from our Junior Church was having her birthday party, looked like they were going to be having a wonderful feast, I was very tempted to help them out with the eating part.
In the evening was a Barn Dance, organised and run by our wonderful Brownies. I could not be there due to double booking (see 42: Wii Bowling at Ringstead) but the initial reports are that numbers were high (60+?) and that a great time was had by all.

There were actually about 50 people there although at times it did feel like more, a great time was had by all from the youngest (8years tomorrow) to the oldest (??). Thankyou to everyone who came and supported the event and helped to raise a further £384 towards the new kitchen facilities.
Message from PJ to debbie
I forgot to give you my request for Sunday lunch.
I would prefer sausage, but if not pizza will be fine.
Hope you enjoy your week.
